Trash should be taken out at least once a week. Sweeping in the office and cleaning up the bathrrom should be done beforehand.

The following is the procedure to getting rid of the garbage:

• Empty all trash bins on first and second floor (including bathroom bin) 
• Combine trash in one location to make transfer to vehicle easier 
• Separate into three groups
• garbage (paper towel, napkins, styrofoam, food)
• cardboard, paper
• plastic, glass
• replace all the waste bin bags before leaving for waste management facility
• garbage and cardboard group can be taken to respective disposals behind the Lab
• plastic/glass and other recycle is taken to waste facility

• Directions:
• Take I 95 north to the Lantana Exit
• Go west (left) on Lantana and make the first left (across the street from Costco)
• Follow the signs for Home Chemical and Recycle 
• Place the separated recycle into the correctly labeled bins 
• make sure to empty the recycle out of the trash bags since these are not allowed to be included in the bins 
• Return to the Hack Lab and make sure bins are in correct location
